HOS Innovator accumulates impressive safety record

Houston, (April 2, 2004): Sonsub has announced that, as of February 10th, Sonsub's HOS Innovator and Innovator (r) 09 ROV Crews have accumulated an impressive 250,000 man-hours and over 1,000 days without a lost time incident (LTI).

Sonsub said this accomplishment is the "direct result of the dedication, pride, and work ethics of the personnel onboard the HOS Innovator."

Sonsub said it wished to recognize "the great cooperation and attitude of Hornbeck Offshore Services, Delta Catering, and the leadership of Sonsub's Superintendents Rickie Stier and Conrad Picou."

Since it began working for Sonsub in 2001, the vessel has been involved with jumper installations, flying lead installations, mattress installations, touchdown monitoring, pre and post lay surveys, and a variety of other construction-related activities.

Sonsub HOS Innovator Vessel Crew Completes 200,000 Man Hours With No Lost Time Incidents

Houston, (August 7, 2003): Sonsub is pleased to report that it's HOS Innovator vessel crew recently completed 200,000 man-hours with no Lost Time Incidents (LTIs). This accomplishment is the result of dedicated personnel, technically superior equipment and the help from our established, long-term partners.

Sonsub wishes to recognize the great cooperation and attitude of the Hornbeck and Delta Catering crews, and the leadership of Sonsub's Superintendents Rickie Stier, Conrad Picou, and Joey Lekovich.

Since it began working for Sonsub in 2001, the vessel has been involved with jumper installation, flying lead installation, mattress installation, touchdown monitoring, pre and post lay survey and a variety of other construction related activities. Additionally, Sonsub has also recently extended its contract for the vessel for another year.

Sonsub’s Innovator Onboard HOS Innovator Conquers Loop

Houston, (July 15, 2003): During the recent wave of loop current incidents in the Gulf of Mexico, Sonsub’s Innovator ROV systems were the only units able to cope with the 3.5+ knot conditions.

Innovator 8 onboard the Discovery Spirit was able to continue operations for its client through the peak of the loop currents while making an extended dive to recover the BOP. Additionally, Innovator 9 working onboard the HOS Innovator was called to the Mad Dog field to install an emergency plug on the Diamond Ocean Confidence. This required the vehicle to work in the worst currents close to the surface before returning to MC 778 to provide well monitoring ops for another drilling rig.

Although other operators had equipment at both locations, Sonsub is proud that only the Innovator ROVs were able to dive and carry out the work in the extreme current conditions.

Sonsub HOS Dominator Vessel Crew Receives Safety Award

Houston, (June 3, 2003): Sonsub's HOS Dominator vessel crew was recently recognized for completing 100,000 man-hours with no Lost Time Incidents (LTIs) and no OSHA recordables. Sonsub's Sr. Vice President of Operations and Commercial, Robert J. Keith, (shown right in picture) presented an award for this achievement to Superintendent John Rhodes accepting on behalf of the HOS Dominator crew.

Sonsub believes this achievement was made possible by collaboration between Sonsub and Hornbeck personnel and demonstrates the close working relationship that exists and the single purpose philosophy of everyone on board and supporting the HOS Dominator.

This accomplishment follows on the heels of the one-year accident free accomplishment for the HOS Dominator itself, and upholds the safety reputation set by its sister ship, the HOS Innovator, a year ago. Sonsub VP QHSE Lynn Lehmann stated, "The daily actions of the Sonsub Employees assigned to the HOSD continually reinforces the philosophy of "HSE-Teamwork" and "Individual Employee HSE Ownership"."

Since it began working for Sonsub in 2002, the vessel has been involved with mattress installation; touchdown monitoring, pre and post lay survey, pod change outs, and a variety of other construction related activities.
